Loft styleIndustry style lofts, leaving the views open, and housing "boxes" which conceal the washrooms, washer/dryer, closets, and storage.
Mirrors and ceiling windows enhance the light and space. |

Eating and livingUpsizing the counter space with a bar and dining area eliminates the need for an additional table and enables a spacious living room area in this long, slim floorplan.
A table would have otherwise to be placed under the stairs (beyond the counter to the left), adjacent to the counter but oddly between the rooms, or in the living room area. |

Artscape loftArtscape Building, in Toronto, Queen Street West
Request: lots of light, space and storage, plus the ability to host plenty of guests. Bathroom had to remain as is. Solution: open concept for flexibility and split level for more space. Entrance, kitchen and living room get full height. |
